
Leeds & Grenville – An individual has been charged with driving and drug offences.
In February 2026, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began an investigation into an individual who was subject of an arrest warrant.
CSCU was assisted by members of the Leeds County and Grenville County Detachments of the OPP, as well as members of the OPP East Region Emergency Response Team and OPP East Region Canine Unit.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, CSCU located and arrested the individual and seized over 13 grams of suspected cocaine, over five grams of suspected of ecstasy, more than $500 in combined Canadian and U.S. currency, and a cellphone.
31-year-old Alexander UBDEGROVE was arrested without incident and has been charged with the following offences:
- Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code – three counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to attend their bail hearing today before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville.
