Brockville – This year’s Brockville Winter Classic raised a total of $73,000, including a late donation of $500 from the Brockville Kinsmen Club.
The announcement was made at the Keystorm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
“We are absolutely blown away. Thanks to our incredible community, volunteers, and sponsors, we reached a fundraising total of $72,500 (actually $73,000 thanks to a late donation by our friends Brockville Kinsmen ) — a number that reflects far more than dollars. It reflects heart. It reflects commitment. And it reflects the belief you all continue to show in the work we do,” said the Brockville Winter Classic Organizing Committee. “Supporting and uplifting youth hockey has not only energized the young athletes we serve, but it has truly re‑energized our entire team. We feel the momentum, the passion, and the pride from our sponsors and community, and this amazing total proves just how powerful that support is.”
This year was the Rivalry Weekend, Battle of Pennsylvania featuring alumni from the Philadelphia Flyers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Winter Classic was launched in 2015 to raise funds for a roof over Rotary Park. What started as a simple hockey tournament has grown into a celebrated event, featuring NHL Alumni and dedicated to fundraising and honoring the rich history of hockey.
Once the Rotary Park revitalization was complete, funds from the winter classic now goes to supporting access to minor hockey. Brockville Winter Classic funded programs include Little Blades, BWC Plays It Forward and the equipment exchange program.
