
Brockville – On April 6, 2026, at approximately 6:00pm, police were called to a multi-unit dwelling in the area of Laurier Boulevard in relation to a disturbance.
Reports indicated excessive noise and banging coming from one of the units.
Police arrived on scene shortly thereafter, where a resident advised that the female occupant of the unit was attempting to start a fire. Officers determined that a 45-year-old female, had intentionally been placing papers on the stovetop, which subsequently caught fire.
The fire was extinguished, and the Brockville Fire Department attended due to the level of smoke and the condition of the apartment.
The female was arrested and charged with Mischief – Endangering Life. Police also learned that she had outstanding warrants for her arrest.
Those previous charges are listed below and she was held for a bail hearing:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Mischief – Interfere with the Lawful Enjoyment of Property
- Two counts of Fail to Attend Court
- Fail to Attend for fingerprints
