Bunnies Played at Alex Turner Memorial Tourney Last Weekend

With Two Wins & One Loss!

Plattsburgh NY – The Brockville Bunnies played in the Alex Turner Memorial Tourney last weekend coming away with two wins and one loss.

In a rain delayed start to the tourney, the Bunnies had an up and down Saturday, starting with the down.

Saturday – Montreal Titans 22 – Bunnies 8:

Usually when you score 8 you should have a chance to win, but pitching and defence for the Bunnies just wasn’t good enough. Both teams combined, walked 23 batters (we also hit four batters) when the name of the game is throw strikes.

Aaron Roy with the loss with relief from JJ Easton, Eamon Morrison and Mark Bowlby. Parker Ames had 2 hits with Max DeCoteau doubling and singles by Matt Barkley and Bowlby.

Now with the up.

Saturday – Bunnies 8 Clinton County 7:

Beating a team that doesn’t lose many games hopefully gives the kids some confidence and was a nice bounce back after the opening game performance.

Charlie Todd with the win going 6.1 innings with Taylor Brayton striking the last batter out, with runners on for the save.

Morrison (3rbis) and Bowlby with 2 hits each. Zadok Roiger doubled, with singles by Nolan Orazietti and Ames (2rbis).

The Brockville Bunnies end on a good note at the Alex Turner Memorial tournament in Plattsburgh with a convincing win over Lake Placid.

A run differential prevented the Bunnies playing in the final as couldn’t overcome the game one lopsided loss.

Sunday – Bunnies 13 Lake Placid 0:

Max DeCoteau located his lost jersey as well as he located his pitches in getting the win. DeCoteau gave up 6 hits, only 3 walks and struck out 6 in an impressive outing for the youngster.

Parker Ames (2s, d,5rbis) and Matt Barkley (2s,d,2rbis) each with 3 hits leading the Bunnies attack. Zadok Roiger with a triple while getting plunked twice. Mark Bowlby doubled with singles by Taylor Brayton and DeCoteau (2rbis).

The Brockville Bunnies are hosting the Clinton County 17u Mariners for a doubleheader today (Saturday) at Fulford Park with the first game starting at noon.

As of now, no games on Sunday.
