Impaired Driving Charges

Brockville – Brockville Police laid impaired driving charges to drivers in two separate incidents.

Police said the first impaired driving charges happened on June 18th at around 3:30 p.m. after officers saw a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign near William Street and James Street West.

Allegedly the 40-year-old driver tried to walk away after officers stopped the driver. Police then said that officers determined he had been drinking, and further testing confirmed he was operating a vehicle while impaired and with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.

As well, police also discovered his license was already suspended.

Brockville Police say the second impaired driving arrest happened on June 19 after they received reports of a man drinking beer while driving away from a convenience store.

Officers later located the 38-year-old driver at a residence on Wildwood Crescent. After testing, it was confirmed he was impaired and over the legal alcohol limit.
