
Prescott – The King Street Promenade returns to Prescott’s Historic RiverWalk District this Saturday, August 1st.
King Street will become a pedestrian-friendly street festival stretching through Downtown Prescott from 10:00am to 4:00pm and offering a full day of entertainment, shopping, food and family fun. Admission is free.
Entertainment runs throughout the day, with FireGuy at 10:00 a.m., noon and 2:00 p.m., followed by Foam Parties at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Boldt Dance Studio performs from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., while Northern Rhodes presents chainsaw-carving demonstrations at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
At King and Edward Streets, enjoy live music from Lyric Rogers at noon and 2:00 p.m. and Gabrielle Salmon at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
The Shoppers Drug Mart parking lot will host a Prescott Skate Night demonstration, while additional activities throughout the promenade will include inflatables, a children’s activity zone presented by Community Services and Recreation, Touch-a-Truck displays and roaming entertainment.
Visitors can shop sidewalk sales and outdoor displays from Downtown Prescott businesses, enjoy local patios and food vendors, and browse an expanded Prescott Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market operating on King Street throughout the event.
Since its debut in 2024, the King Street Promenade has become a favourite Civic Holiday weekend tradition, bringing the community together and showcasing the businesses, performers and experiences that make Prescott’s waterfront downtown a memorable summer destination.
