Featuring Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest!
Prescott – It is opening night for the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival tonight with the presentation of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Ernest.
Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest is one of the most perfect plays in Western literature that sparkles with all the wit and effervescence of its famous author. It remains relevant today in its gentle and hilarious lampooning of society’s social orders, which is why it continues as a fixture in the world’s theatres. It sprinkles the season with even more comedy on top of the magic of The Dream.
The Kinsmen Amphitheatre box office opens at 6:00 pm tonight with the show beginning at 7:00 pm.
Tickets are available online at https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?ticketing=slsf and are $38 for adults, $26 for students and children 14 and under are admitted free.
Tickets are also available at the amphitheatre box office. PLEASE NOTE: All tickets purchased at the door will be an additional $3.00 to the prices shown above.
The show runs from tonight until August 5th!
