In the past 48 hours, the Brockville Police Service has received 100 calls for service. These calls for service resulted in the following:
- 6 Arrests
- 4 Mental Health Apprehensions
- 4 Criminal Code Charges
- 4 Traffic Charges
Domestic Dispute:
On August 29, 2023, at about 10:30 am, police received information regarding a domestic dispute that took place in the area of Kensington Pkwy.
Investigation revealed that a 33-year-old, male, had assaulted his girlfriend by shoving her face first into a television stand and then threatening to harm her.
There were concerns about the male’s well-being due to some comments of possible self-harm. The male was located and taken for an assessment. Once complete, he was held in custody for a bail hearing for the offences of assault and uttering threats.
Theft Suspect Arrested:
On August 24, 2023, police received information regarding a theft at the Circle K store on King St. W. The theft took place the previous night on August 23, 2023. The incident was captured on video and the suspect was identified to be a 20-year-old, male.
The theft of merchandise had a total value of $54.00. On August 28, 2023, at about 10:30 pm, officers located the subject in the area of Rotary Park. He was charged with theft under $5,000.00 and released on documents with a future court date.
