Brockville – City police say that some of the roadway has been reopened near the scene of a fire that occurred on the morning of September 16th at the corner of Perth Street and Brock Street at 122 Brock Street in Brockville.
Police say however, vehicles will be unable to proceed north or south on Perth St. due to debris on the roadway.
They also ask to please keep out of the fenced-in area as the building is not structurally sound and proceed with caution around the intersection.
Early Saturday morning the Brockville Fire Department along with EMS and Police responded to an active structure fire at this location.
Police confirmed that one occupant of the building was deceased and that the other residents of the building had all been accounted for and safe.
Brockville Police Staff Sergeant Darryl Boyd said the investigation is still ongoing and involves The Brockville Police Service, The Brockville Fire Department, The Office of the Fire Marshall and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
