Last Weekend for the Ontario Festival of Small Halls Fall Series

Eastern Ontario – This weekend, October 20th, 21st and 22nd is the last weekend for the fall series of the Ontario Festival of Small Halls.

This Friday, October 20th in Brockville the Spoons will be performing at St. John’s United Church. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Formed in 1980, an intrepid young band from Burlington Ontario would soon make Spoons a different kind of household word. They would help define the sound of pop and New Wave in the 80s, with hits like Nova Heart, Romantic Traffic, Old Emotions and Tell No Lies.

As well on Friday, October 20th, Ben Caplan is performing at the Delta Old Town Hall in Delta. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

A charismatic charmer and a smasher of pianos. A madman and an earnest poet. Ben Caplan released his first studio album in 2011 and has spent the last ten years recording and performing to ever-growing audiences in music clubs and theatres around the world.

On Saturday, October 21st in Spencerville, The Arrogant Worms perform at Spencerville United Church. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

The Arrogant Worms have spent over three decades making fun of a big dumb world. Their songs have been played on the radio, the internet, and in outer space (on the space shuttle Endeavour).

Also on Saturday at Furnace Falls Farm near Lyndhurst, Quote The Raven will perform at a special ‘The Chef’s Table’ event.

Quote the Raven, consisting of Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke have been performing together for over a decade. The pair got their start in the small bars and pubs around St. John’s and in the past few years have rapidly grown to a household name around Canada and are steadily growing their clout on an international level.
