OPP Lay Fraud Charges

NORTH GRENVILLE – Members of the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a person in relation to fraud.

Officers received the report in March 2023 and investigated fraudulent cheques of approximately $1100 sent in exchange for items the victim had been selling online.

On October 11, 2023, Wisdom KONYEHI, aged 25 from Niagara, was charged with the following offences:

• Fraud under $5000

• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

The accused was released from custody and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on November 10, 2023.
