Kemptville – The Kemptville 73s lost a 6-5 decision to the Renfrew Wolves on Sunday in CCHL action.
Jace Letourneau and Dane Carter netted in the first, countered by Kemptville’s Matthew Montoni. Renfrew dominated the second with goals from Max Gorzelnik and two more from Letourneau.
Kemptville fought back in the third with Grady Logue’s two goals, along with contributions from Nicholas Bennett and Sydney Loreto. However, Letourneau’s late goal secured Renfrew’s triumph. Goaltender Nolan Lane stood tall with 33 saves for Renfrew, while Kemptville’s Jacob Biron and Maxwell Ilecki combined for 22 saves.
The 73s travel to Hawkesbury Friday night to play the Hawks. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
