Brockville Minor Hockey Association’s U18 Hockey Tournament This Weekend Dedicated to Neil “Q” McHugh

Brockville – This weekend’s U18 Hockey Tournament hosted by the Brockville Minor Hockey Association will be dedicated to Neil “Q” McHugh.

Neil who recently passed has helped Minor Hockey, Junior B Hockey and Junior A Hockey in Brockville for many years.

Hockey games will happen at both the Memorial Centre and the Youth Arena.

Everything gets underway this morning with the opening ceremonies at the Memorial Centre starting at 11:45 am which will feature ‘Oh Canada’ sung by Willy Stevenson and the ceremonial puck drop by Taylor Mawson (Neil’s daughter).

The Brockville Braves broadcast crew will stream the RepB and B1 first games live on YouTube at YouTube.com/@hughdemand.

The U18 RepB team is set to hit the ice at the Memorial Centre, facing off against tough opponents, today at noon the Cornwall Colts and then on Saturday they play the Clarence-Rockland Crush at noon and Metcalfe Castor River Canucks at 5:00 pm.

The U18 B1 team will play the Orleans Rush at the Memorial Centre today at 1:00 pm and then face Osgoode B3 at the Youth Arena at 6:00 pm tonight.

Then on Saturday at 3:00 pm they take on the Embrun Panthers at the Memorial Centre.

The U18 B2 team will face the Stittsville Rams B4 today at 4:00 PM at the Youth Arena and then they play the Blackburn Stingers B1 also at the Youth Arena.

On Saturday the team plays at 2:00 pm at the Memorial Centre against the Nepean Raiders.
