
Ottawa – Local cross-country runners with the Brockville Legion Track & Field Club did really well this past weekend at the 2023 Canadian Cross Country Championships in Ottawa.
Travis Gaffney was the U18 Canadian Cross Country 6km Champion coming in first with a time of 19:04 winning gold. Another local runner, Parker Levac won Bronze with a time of 19:22.
Also, both Gaffney and Levac won a Provincial Team Gold winning the Branch Championship.
The Brockville Legion Track & Filed Club team of;
Travis Gaffney (1st), Parker Levac (3rd), Jackson Witham (17th), Alex Plant (78th), Rowan Dean (102nd), Rayne Link (127th), Lukas Leroux (129th), Kai Morrow (133rd) and Vince Huntington (269th) came away with silver as a team.
