Braves Snap Winless Streak Beating Rockland Nationals 4-2 Friday Night in CCHL – VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

Brockville – The Brockville Braves snapped their winless streak on Friday night by winning 4-2 over the Rockland Nationals at the Memorial Centre.

Strong goaltending and a 60-minute effort from 20 guys who are buying into Matt Ward’s coaching philosophy sealed the deal for the Braves.

Owen Watson fired the game-winner to break out of his scoring slump. Liam Reid’s shot from the point knotted the game at 2.

The Braves had a great second period. They scored the only goal, hit two goalposts and had stellar goaltending from Zane Spaniol.

Dylan Coyle yelled for the pass from Coughlin even before he crossed the blue line and buried it to put the final nail in the National’s coffin.

Brockville was supposed to play the Bears in Smiths Falls today but due to the Freezing Rain warning the game was postponed as with all of the other CCHL games scheduled for today.

The Braves will be in Cornwall to face the Colts this Thursday night. Game time there is 7:30 pm.
