Gananoque – Police reports from the Gananoque Police Service from November 29th to December 8th, 2023.
Operation While Prohibited/Flight From Police:
On November 29th, 2023, officers on patrol observed a male driving a vehicle who was known to be a suspended driver.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the male evaded police. A warrant was requested, and on December 1st, 2023, the male was located and arrested.
The 47-year-old male from Gananoque was charged with Flight from a peace officer and Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code. The male was released on an undertaking with conditions, to be seen in court at a later date.
Bench Warrant:
On December 1st, 2023, a bench warrant was issued by the court for a 26-year-old male from Kingston for failing to attend his court date as required.
On December 9th, 2023, the male was located and arrested by a neighbouring service. The warrant was executed and the male was released on an appearance notice, to be seen in court at a later date.
Impaired Driving:
On December 2nd, 2023, officers on patrol observed a vehicle swerving while driving. A traffic stop was conducted and a roadside breath test was issued.
Due to the results of the test, a 25-year-old male from Lansdowne was arrested and later charged with Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
The vehicle was impounded for 7 days, and the male was released on an appearance notice to be seen in court at a later date.
Failure to Comply:
On December 3rd, 2023 the Gananoque Police Service received a report of a male breaching his court-ordered conditions. An investigation was conducted and as a result, a 32-year-old male from Gananoque was arrested and charged with Failure to comply with the release order. The male was held for a show cause bail hearing.
Assault/Mischief/Fail to Comply:
On December 5th, 2023, officers responded to a high-priority call from multiple reports of a male and female fighting in a residence. Officers located and spoke to both parties, and as a result, a 28-year-old from Gananoque was arrested and charged with Assault, Mischief under $5000, and Failure to comply with a probation order. The male was held for a show cause bail hearing.

Bench Warrant:
On December 6th, 2023 the Gananoque Police Service received a bench warrant issued by the court for a 31-year-old female from Gananoque for failing to attend her court date as required. The female turned herself in at the station that same day and was released on an appearance notice to be seen
in court at a later date.
Intoxicated Youth:
On December 8th, 2023, officers attended outside a residence for a report of an intoxicated youth. The youth was located and returned home to the care of a parent. A Provincial Offence Notice was issued for Being intoxicated in a public place.
