Gananoque – A winter weather travel advisory is in effect for Gananoque & Mallorytown areas beginning this morning and lasting into this evening.
Local snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm with reduced visibility in areas of heavier snow.
Lake effect snow off Lake Ontario is expected to shift north into the region today. Travelling along portions of Highway 401 may be hazardous at times.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
