DESCRIPTION:Shout Sisters\, led by none other than Georgette Fry\, the 35+ year industry veteran and Juno-nominee\, are performing in support of Habitat for Humanity on Sunday\, April 27th in Spencerville. \nCome out to St. Andrews-Knox Presbyterian Church\, located at 23 Bennett Street\, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for an afternoon of amazing song! \nAdmission is free\, though donations to Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands are gladly accepted! \nBefore the Choir\, they will be selling raffle tickets for some great items. \n$1 per ticket: Hand-crafted gravity-fed wine-bottle birdfeeder \n$2.50 per ticket: Bath-time relaxation starter kit that includes some scented diffusers\, a candle holder\, a shower curtain\, and a soft scalp massager \n$5 per ticket: Kitchen set that includes a tablecloth\, placemats\, four floral-printed mugs\, a ceramic centre-piece\, a thermal mug\, and a cookbook \n$10 per ticket: TWO modern light fixtures; 3-bulb pendants with a black-iron and glass aesthetic. DESCRIPTION:The Elizabethtown Firefighters Association’s 18th Annual Fish Fry is being held on Sunday\, April 27th in Lyn. \nBring your family and friends to Station 1 in Lyn at 44 Main Street from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. \nCome out and enjoy a delicious meal while supporting your local firefighters. They will have plenty of crispy fish (or chicken fingers as a substitute)\, tasty sides\, and good company – all for a great cause. They are also offering a chicken fingers kids’ meal. \nCost is $20 per person and includes (2) Fish\, Fries\, Salad\, Beans\, Roll\, Dessert and Drink. \nChicken Fingers and Fries for the Kids is $15. \nTickets are available from volunteers or at the door. \nThere will also be prizes\, raffles and a silent auction \nProceeds go to supporting your local volunteer Fire Department. \nPre-sales are available from any of their members – contact one today to secure your meal!

DESCRIPTION:WE ARE BACK!! 2nd Annual Jazz Appreciation Month is kicking off with some of the areas best talent. \nAll of our shows are free of charge and start at 1pm – 2pm every Sunday (except Easter weekend) at the beautiful Brockville Public Library. \nSUNDAY APRIL 27th 1-2PM – The Matthew O’Halloran Trio \nSHOW INFO: \nOur Jazz Appreciation Month wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t bring in the Great Music Guys along with Brockville’s own Chris Coyea and Alex Fleuriau Chateau performing some of the great standards from the Kings of Swing to the Big Band era. \nCome and hear some of the finest vocalists and musicians perform songs chosen from Jazz\, Ballroom\, Music Theatre\, Latin\, and Country repertoire. Get ready to sing and dance to their eclectic mix of musical genres. Great Music Guys is usually a nine piece orchestra led by James MacKenzie. The group has performed for major local events such as the opening of the Aquatarium and the Brockville Rifles New Years Eve gala. \nEver wonder how the group got its name? People consistently say\,\n“GREAT MUSIC GUYS! \nSpecial thanks again to the Music Performance Trust Funds for sponsoring these events and to the Brockville Public Library for their cosponsoring and the loan of a beautiful venue to host these shows. Finally to the Upper Canada Musicians for their hard word for organizing these performances through the month of April.
