SUMMARY:Studio Tour & Talk with Diana Earle
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon with ceramic artist Diana B. Earle for a guided tour of her home studio. Learn about her journey as a potter\, tour her working studio & showroom\, and browse her collection of Canadian ceramics. \nShe’ll share her inspiration and wisdom as a professional ceramicist with fellow potters\, wherever they are in their clay journey.\nThis is the first part of our ‘Clay Coaching Series\,’ meant to connect established clay artists with curious clay students! \nLight refreshments will be provided for afternoon tea. Cost is $40\, with a limit of 5 participants. \nProceeds from all ‘Clay Coaching Series’ are donated directly to the Clay Studio Collective. \n– – – \n“I want to share my studio\, my pots\, my successes and failures\, and most of all\, my knowledge! I took my first course in pottery back in 1973\, in Toronto. By 1976 I had moved to Brockville and was fortunate to become a student of Charlie Scott. He trained my eye first. My eyes have led my fingers ever since!” \nBio\nDiana Earle has worked with Clay since 1973 and became a professional potter in 1981. She specialized in finely crafted thrown vessels\, later exploring hand-built sculptural forms. She embraced both Raku and smoke-firing techniques that enhanced her work. \nDiana’s training began at St. Lawrence College. She has since been taught by many international Clay Artists. Her work is part of many private collections around the world. \nTickets: https://www.kristacameronpottery.com/claycoaching.html?fbclid=IwAR2lV7JpQbkUVYWbdFlXl7orhqCHU5t_anispsb-cANV1SsXCTRnOTRXWlg
