DESCRIPTION:The Children’s Service Department of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville\, in partnership with St. Lawrence College and Connect Youth\, is hosting a TOUCH A TRUCK event and BBQ this Friday\, August 25th at the St. Lawrence College campus\, located at 2288 Parkdale Avenue in Brockville. \nParents\, grandparents and caregivers are invited to attend this FREE event with their children and grandchildren from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. \nLimited free parking at the College is available for families as well as at the Brockville Memorial Centre parking lot\, located behind the College\, at 100 Magedoma Blvd. \nAdditionally\, the College is a regular stop on the Brockville City bus route and this bus will be running as usual that day. \nThis event is made possible by the generosity of the following community partners: United Counties of Leeds and Grenville\, St. Lawrence College\, City of Brockville\, Youth Connect – John Howard Society\, Brockville Police\, Brockville Fire Department\, G. Tackaberry and Sons Construction\, RCMP\, OPP\, Canada Border Services Agency\, STEO\, Ministry of Natural Resources\, Hydro One\, John Campbell’s Towing\, Lafarge Canada Inc\, Bounce Radio\, Big Brothers Big Sisters\, Amanda Rowan-Miletich (CPSAC)\, Leeds\, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit\, Making Play Possible\, Brockville Pride and the\nBrockville Public Library. \nNote: A limited number of noise-cancelling headphones will be available to borrow for children with special needs attending the event and can be signed out at the event entrance tent. \nFor more information about the event please contact the EarlyON CFC at (613) 341-9044 x 2374.
