DESCRIPTION:The 161st Lansdowne Fair begins this Thursday\, July 17th and runs until Sunday\, July 20th\, at the Lansdowne Fairgrounds. \nThe fun-filled country fair with lots to see and do\, with live music on Thursday night with Country Legends\, Tribute to Garth & Shania\, a demolition derby on Saturday night\, and a Truck and Tractor Pull on Sunday. \nAs well as lots of midway rides by World’s Finest Shows\, children’s activities\, and horse shows. \nTickets are\, $10 for Thursday and Friday daily admission. $15 for Saturday and Sunday daily admission. Children 12 and under are free. \nA weekend pass is $40 and can be purchased in advance at the Fair Office from July 14th to 18th. \nGates open at 3:00 pm on Thursday and Friday\, and 8:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. \nOpening day\, Thursday\, will see Colby Davis\, Sheep Shearing demonstrations\, Mini King & Queen Contest\, Opening Ceremonies\, and live music by Country Legends Tribute to Garth & Shania. \nFriday will see a Seniors’ Fun Art Paint Party\, Seniors’ Day\, Sheep Shearing demonstrations\, Seniors Games\, and Draft Horse Pull. Live music on Friday will be by Blue River Band. \nSaturday will see Toasted Metal Forge\, Chainsaw Carver\, Heavy Horse Show and Miniature Horse Show\, Mary Lambert Children’s Music\, Face Painting\, Hay Bale Throwing Contest and more. Live music on Saturday will see Bill White and the White Brothers. DESCRIPTION:The 44th annual Farmersville Exhibition (AKA Athens Steam fair) is being held this weekend at Centennial Park and Centre 76 in Athens. \nIt runs on Friday evening\, July 18th\, Saturday\, July 19th and Sunday\, July 20th. \nThis year\, they will be featuring everything Ford: trucks\, cars\, tractors\, etc. All makes are welcome. \nFriday night\, the grounds will open at 4:00 pm and will feature a truck pull starting at 6:00 pm and live music by Country Rocks from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. \nOver the weekend\, the grounds open at 9:00 am each day and there will be a Shriner’s Breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday\, Show n Shine Car Show on Saturday\, vendors and crafters\, chainsaw carving\, pony rides and petting zoo\, wagon rides on Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm\, children’s amusements\, a vintage tractor pull on Saturday\, kids pedal tractor pull on Saturday\, a mullet competition\, a chicken dinner\, Tug of war\, square dancing tractors\, and more. \nLive music on Saturday night will be Family Traditionz from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Live music on Sunday will feature Lyric Rogers from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. \nAdmission is $30 for a weekend pass\, $15 for Friday night\, Saturday and Sunday.
