DESCRIPTION:Skate Brockville will host the ‘Marching to Brockville’ Star 1-4 Figure Skating Competition on Friday\, March 14th\, Saturday\, March 15th and Sunday\, March 16th at the Memorial Centre in Brockville. \nThe competition will see over 350 skaters from 46 skating clubs across Ontario coming to Brockville. \nCome out for an exciting weekend of skating as young athletes take the ice to showcase their talent at the Brockville Memorial Centre. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday\, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday\, and 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. \nSpectators are welcome. DESCRIPTION:The annual Empty Bowls fundraiser in support of Loaves & Fishes Brockville is set to take place Saturday\, April 5th at the Memorial Centre. \nCome out for lunch and live music in support of a great cause from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. \nLocal potters have been hard at work creating beautiful\, handcrafted bowls for this year’s event. \nEvery bowl purchased helps support Loaves & Fish’s mission to fight hunger in the Brockville community. \nThe cost is $40 for soup by local chefs and a handcrafted bowl made by local artisans. $5 for children under 12 and under 5 eat free\, (Does not include pottery bowl). \nLunch without a bowl is $15. \nTickets can be purchased by e-transfer at financelafb@gmail.com (Please reference Empty Bowls in the message and include your email and contact number) \nYou can also get your tickets now at the Scotiabank King Street location (Cash Only) – they’re even MATCHING ticket sales up to $3000! \nDon’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to double your impact. \n“The hope is that each time the empty bowl is taken from your cupboard\, it will serve as a reminder that someone else’s bowl was empty and that on this occasion\, you helped Loaves & Fishes alleviate hunger in our community.” \n
