DESCRIPTION:The Brockville Theatre Guild is proud to announce that they are hosting their first annual one-act play festival\, Three Companies One-Act Weekend. \nThree local theatre groups will be performing a one-act play of their own as part of this festival being held on Friday\, May 3rd and Saturday\, May 4th at The Arts Hub\, formerly St. John’s United Church\, Park Street\, Brockville. Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. \nTickets are available at the door for $20 each. \nThe plays vary in length with a total running time of 75 minutes with a short intermission between each to allow for sets to be struck and assembled. Audiences will get to see all 3 plays at the evening performances with only two at the matinee. \nIn true festival form\, each group will be timed for their set up and take down. Audiences will have the opportunity to observe this process.

DESCRIPTION:There are still tickets available for the second annual Alvarium presented by So Lo Social Local that is being held this Saturday\, May 11th at the Aquatarium in Brockville. \nThe event that showcases local arts and performance artists begins at 6:30 pm and will feature live music\, aerial performers\, visual artists\, a digital photography display\, and much more. \nTickets are $25 and are available at: Alvarium.ca or in Downtown Brockville at Medium Effort Fine Art Supplies or Sweet Ofelia Cafe and Market (both of these are cash only). \nAs well\, while supplies last\, make any purchase at Flutter N’ Fly Makers Cove and you can buy one ticket to Alvarium\, and get a second one free!
