DESCRIPTION:Canine Watersports Canada Dock Jumping is back this Canada Day long Weekend from June 28th to July 1st in Prescott \nIt is being held at RiverWalk Park at Prescott Pop-ups. \nEverything gets underway on Saturday with the first jump at 11:00 am\, jump two at 1:00 pm\, Toss at 3:00 pm and jump three at 5:00 pm. \nSunday starts at 11:00 am with jump 4\, then jump 5 at 1:00 pm\, followed by grab at 3:00 pm. Monday is a non-competition Fun Day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. DESCRIPTION:Maggie’s Wake\, an award-winning Canadian\, female-fronted “new trad” folk group\, will be performing at Furnace Falls Farm just outside of Lyndhurst on Saturday\, July 26th. \nDoors open at 7:00 pm with the show starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $30 plus tax and available at http://www.ticketscene.ca/events/52990 \nFurnace Falls Farms is located at 504 Old Briar Hill Rd\, Lyndhurst ON. \nThe 2025 CFMA Celebration Concert – “New Artist of the Year” have created an exciting splash in the folk music scene\, blending high twang\, classic country with contemporary takes on celtic jigs and reels\, cajun twin fiddles and reggae rhythms. Their music is an original\, genre hopping adventure that has captured the hearts of audiences across Canada and the United States. \nUnited in their passion for fiery tunes\, soaring vocals with rich harmonies\, meaningful stories and beautiful melodies\, Maggie’s Wake embraces their wide ranging influences and have built an exciting\, new sound. The band features award winning songwriter and multi instrumentalist\, Tara Dunphy (The Rizdales\, Luther Wright and the Wrongs) and award winning violinist/fiddler\, songwriter & composer\, Lindsay Schindler (Rant Maggie Rant\, Trent Severn). The powerhouse backing band includes Andrew Kosty on bass\, Kenneth Palmer on guitar and Myke Phillips on percussion. \nDale Watson\, the Texas honkytonk legend\, says “You can’t grow if you rip your roots out of the ground” and Maggie’s Wake have taken that to heart.
