DESCRIPTION:The Brockville Theatre Guild is proud to announce that they are hosting their first annual one-act play festival\, Three Companies One-Act Weekend. \nThree local theatre groups will be performing a one-act play of their own as part of this festival being held on Friday\, May 3rd and Saturday\, May 4th at The Arts Hub\, formerly St. John’s United Church\, Park Street\, Brockville. Show times are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. \nTickets are available at the door for $20 each. \nThe plays vary in length with a total running time of 75 minutes with a short intermission between each to allow for sets to be struck and assembled. Audiences will get to see all 3 plays at the evening performances with only two at the matinee. \nIn true festival form\, each group will be timed for their set up and take down. Audiences will have the opportunity to observe this process.

DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, May 5th from 10am to 3pm\n \nThe family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Taking place at the North Grenville Municipal Centre Community Rooms and Arena\, the Theatre will host presentations and workshops throughout the event. (more details to follow)\n \nIn addition to the local and sustainable shopping options in the Market Hall\, the Sustainability Presentations\, and the Electric Vehicle Show\, the Fair is also an excellent opportunity to experience an earful of Local Music and a taste of Local Food.\n \nThe usual space showcasing electric vehicles will be there\, along with space in the arena for the returning Greening Your Home exhibitors’ space. Speak to businesses this year for energy-efficient home renovation information – specifically addressing the climate change issue.\n \nEfforts are underway to make the EV show better than before\, with local dealerships participating and new participation from local groups to enable test drives and rides in electric vehicles. Many owners will be there to answer questions and some of the latest and most exciting models will be on display. Come see if it makes sense for you and how much money you could save.
