DESCRIPTION:The 44th annual Farmersville Exhibition (AKA Athens Steam fair) is being held this weekend at Centennial Park and Centre 76 in Athens. \nIt runs on Friday evening\, July 18th\, Saturday\, July 19th and Sunday\, July 20th. \nThis year\, they will be featuring everything Ford: trucks\, cars\, tractors\, etc. All makes are welcome. \nFriday night\, the grounds will open at 4:00 pm and will feature a truck pull starting at 6:00 pm and live music by Country Rocks from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. \nOver the weekend\, the grounds open at 9:00 am each day and there will be a Shriner’s Breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday\, Show n Shine Car Show on Saturday\, vendors and crafters\, chainsaw carving\, pony rides and petting zoo\, wagon rides on Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm\, children’s amusements\, a vintage tractor pull on Saturday\, kids pedal tractor pull on Saturday\, a mullet competition\, a chicken dinner\, Tug of war\, square dancing tractors\, and more. \nLive music on Saturday night will be Family Traditionz from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There will be a 50/50 draw in benefit of the Merrickville Food Cupboard\, half-hourly draws for over $1600 in wonderful door prizes\, “Thunder Alley” contest for the vehicle with the loudest pipes and manufacturers\, vendors\, and swap meet entrepreneurs. \nGeneral admission for cool rides is only $10 a carload. DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Prescott RiverWalk District’s 2nd annual King Street Promenade street festival returns this Saturday\, August 2nd\, to the Fort Town. \nKing Street will be closed to traffic from Edward to George while the event runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. \nThere will be live music all day\, Kids Zone with inflatables\, face painting & caricatures\, Boldt Dance Studio performance at 2 PM\, Fire trucks and public works displays from the Town of Prescott\, Heritage and community booths\, Sidewalk sales from downtown shops\, Expanded Prescott Farmers’ & Crafters’ Market\, Skateboarding with Prescott Skate Night and Delicious eats throughout the Downtown Prescott RiverWalk District. \nLive music all day from local favourites: Lyric Rogers\, Brie Salmon and Jeff Rogers. \nA pedestrian-friendly street festival packed with family fun\, live music\, local shopping\, and community spirit.

DESCRIPTION:The 23rd annual Brockville Ribfest in support of Big Brothers’ Big Sisters of Leeds & Grenville is set to take place from August 8th to 10th in Centennial/Hardy Park in Downtown Brockville. \nRibfest is the largest fundraiser for Big Brothers\, Big Sisters of Leeds & Grenville. \nAs Canada’s leading child and youth mentoring charity\, the funds from the event will help facilitate life-changing relationships that inspire and empower children and youth to reach their potential\, both as individuals and citizens. By participating in Brockville Ribfest\, you are helping them make a positive difference in the lives of our community’s youth. \nThis year\, instead of being a four-day event\, it is a three-day event starting on Friday instead of Thursday. \nThere will be six ribbers\, with Ribs Royale\, Silver Bullet BBQ\, Billy Bones BBQ\, Crabby’s BBQ Shack\, Jack the Ribber and Dinosaur Smokehouse. \nRibfest begins at 11:00 am on Friday\, August 8th. SUMMARY:42nd Annual Athens CORNFEST Saturday\, August 16th
DESCRIPTION:After a year off due to a lack of volunteers\, the 42nd annual Athens CORNFEST is back this Saturday\, August 16th and for the first time at Centennial Park. \nThe free event is being held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and will feature live music\, children’s games\, a free petting zoo\, face painting\, a Corn Hole Tournament\, vendors and crafts and of course\, corn on the cob. \nThe popular Children’s parade will start at 10:00 am at Centre 76 parking lot. Children will walk and ride around the southern half of the track at Centennial Park.
