SUMMARY:Rideau St Lawrence Science Fair 2025
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Rideau St Lawrence Science Fair is taking place Thursday\, April 10\, at the North Grenville Municipal Centre\, 285 County Road 44\, in Kemptville. \nJudging took place at 9:00 am this morning\, and the fair is open to the public from 11:00 am. \nThe Awards Ceremony will start at approximately 3:00 pm in the Theatre. \nThere are 70 STEM projects ready to be presented by the youth of Leeds\, Grenville and Lanark Counties. \nThe Rideau-St. Lawrence Science Fair is open to students who are under the age of 21\, in Leeds\, Grenville or Lanark Counties and are in Grades 7 to OAC. \nThe Fair began in 1962 and was organised by a group of scientists and engineers from DuPont Canada. Since then\, they have welcomed many officials and participants from Lanark\, Leeds and Grenville’s teaching\, medical\, scientific\, and technical community. Without their dedicated work and support\, the Fair would not happen. \nMany of the participants have gone on to the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF)\, where\, despite our small size\, they have enjoyed great success. The CWSF participants have won Best of Fair\, Gold\, Silver and Bronze medals\, scholarships\, monetary prizes\, trips and special tours. These projects all required an idea with a good question\, some research and hard work. Helpful mentors\, teachers\, fair organizers\, fair judges and their sponsors made it possible. \nFor more information: https://www.rslsf.ca/

Get ready to sing and dance to their eclectic mix of musical genres. Great Music Guys is usually a nine piece orchestra led by James MacKenzie. The group has performed for major local events such as the opening of the Aquatarium and the Brockville Rifles New Years Eve gala. \nEver wonder how the group got its name? People consistently say\,\n“GREAT MUSIC GUYS! \nSpecial thanks again to the Music Performance Trust Funds for sponsoring these events and to the Brockville Public Library for their cosponsoring and the loan of a beautiful venue to host these shows. Finally to the Upper Canada Musicians for their hard word for organizing these performances through the month of April.
