DESCRIPTION:The Santa Run has been cancelled\, but everything else is a go! \nLace up your walking shoes\, grab your Santa hat or ugly sweater and get ready to make spirits bright at the Santa Paws Walk in support of the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre. \nThis festive fundraising event takes place this Saturday\, Nov. 15\, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville. \nThere was a 6.5-kilometre Santa Run scheduled for Saturday along with the walk\, but the run was cancelled after low registration. \nA dog-friendly social will take place from 12 noon to 3 p.m.\, featuring a 3km walk along the trails\, bonfire\, canteen\, photo booth\, and a variety of local vendors offering purr-fect holiday gifts and treats for pets and people alike. \nWhile there is no cost to attend the social\, donations are encouraged to help make the season merry and bright for animals in need. \n“Join us on the beautiful trails of Mac Johnson Wildlife Area for a fun and festive way to help local animals in need\,” says Katelyn Stojadinov\, Community Outreach Coordinator with the Ontario SPCA Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre “The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity that is 100 per cent donor funded\, so every dollar raised helps give animals in our community a second chance.” \nDogs are welcome to attend the afternoon festivities. \nGet ready for some ho-ho-howliday fun and help make tails wag this season.

SUMMARY:51st Annual Leo Boivin International U18 AAA Showcase
DESCRIPTION:The 51st annual Leo Boivin International U18 AAA Showcase runs from Thursday\, March 20th to Sunday\, March 23rd at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre in Prescott. \nTeams participating this year will include\, the hometown team\, South Grenville Rangers\, Rideau St. Lawrence Kings\, Kanata Blazers\, Kapuskasing Flyers\, Ontario Hockey Academy\, Markham Majors\, Biosteel Sports Academy\, Ottawa Sting\, and the Ottawa Jr. 67’s. \nOn Thursday night\, a ‘Prelude to the Leo’ is Ranger’s Night with a U7 Showcase starting at 5:30 pm followed by the U13Rep Rangers versus the Demons championship series at 6:00 pm and wrapping up with the U15Rep Rangers versus the Royals Championship Series at 7:30 pm. \nThe Showcase tournament begins on Friday at 9:30 am with the first game\, Ottawa Sting versus Ontario Hockey Academy (OHA). \nThe South Grenville Rangers have their first game at 12:30 pm on Friday when they face the Kapuskasing Flyers. \nThe Opening Ceremony will take place on Friday at 6:30 pm. SUMMARY:3rd Annual Brockville Magedoma Old Timers Recreational HockeyFest
DESCRIPTION:The third Annual Brockville Magedoma Old Timers Recreational HockeyFest takes place on Tuesday\, March 18th and Wednesday\, March 19th at the Brockville Memorial Centre. \nThe 2 day\, 8-team charity event welcomes over 100 players aged 60+ from Kingston\, Kemptville\, Westport\, Shawville\, Brockville Old Boys and of course the Magedomas and raises funds for a local charity. \nAll games will be played between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM with each team being guaranteed 3 games over the 2 days. There will be no overtime for any games played\, and because it is a recreational tournament\, there will be no playoffs. \nAdmission is free! \nAll proceeds from the third annual Magedoma Old Timers hockey charity event will be contributed to the Weekenders Charity program (WP4K)
