DESCRIPTION:We welcome all to the first-ever Battle of the St. Lawrence USports basketball games. Bishops University Men’s and Women’s teams will travel from Sherbrooke QC to take on the University of Guelph Men’s and Women’s teams in what will be an exciting homecoming weekend for some former Blazer players.\n\nThe women’s game will start at 5 pm and the men’s will follow at 7 pm. These will be exhibition games for the teams as they both look to build on their success last season.\nDoors will open at 4 pm and tickets are only available at the door. $20 each\, cash only.\n\nWe will have halftime entertainment\, prize giveaways\, photo and autograph opportunities with the players and a full day of excitement.\n\nGuelph Women’s Head Coach Meg Reid will host a youth skills clinic at 9 a.m. Saturday at BCI. All proceeds from the clinic will go towards a local charity.

DESCRIPTION:Get your paddles ready for a fun event on the beautiful waters of the St. Lawrence River! The Township of Front of Yonge is hosting the third annual Paddle Poker Run on Saturday\, September 16th\, 2023 at Brown’s Bay.\n\nThe Paddle Poker Run is an event that encourages people to get outside to celebrate and enjoy the St. Lawrence River. All river-appropriate paddle craft are welcome (kayak\, canoe\, etc.) This is not a race\, but a fun paddle that all ages and abilities can enjoy. Each paddler will follow a route beginning at Brown’s Bay that includes at least five stops or checkpoints where they will draw a playing card. After the paddle\, there will be prizes for the best poker hand.
