DESCRIPTION:The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #96 in Brockville will be hosting a Battle of the Atlantic Memorial Ceremony on Sunday\, May 4th\, at Block House Island in Brockville. \nThe ceremony begins at 1:00 pm\, and the public is welcome. \nEvery year\, the first Sunday in May is recognized by Canadians as a day to honour the sacrifices made by thousands of Canadian soldiers during the Battle of the Atlantic. \nIn 1945\, Canadian forces played a decisive role in securing vital supply lines across the Atlantic\, ensuring victory for the Allies. This battle remains a testament to Canada’s resilience and determination.

DESCRIPTION:It runs from June 28th to 30th at Blockhouse Island and features two days of heart-pumping hydroplane racing\, two nights of some great music and a Kids Zone and Food/Vendors area. \nThe Hydroplane races take place Saturday & Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and feature 5 different classes\, JSS\, 2.5L\, H350 and Grand Prix. The gates open on both Saturday & Sunday at 9:00 am. \nFriday night the gates open at 5:00 pm.
