During December\, the site is transformed by wrapping trees with thousands of lights for your enjoyment. Access the site from Water Street and drive straight towards the river. Parking spaces are available around the perimeter of the site\, but if all of the spaces are taken\, you can loop around the site and see the show from all angles. Typically there are sufficient parking spaces.\n \nWhen is it?\n \nThe show runs every night all December long. SUMMARY:Total Solar Eclipse Free Event Brockville
DESCRIPTION:The City of Brockville along with the Aquatarium and the Royal Canadian Air Force are hosting a solar eclipse watching event on Blockhouse Island from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. \nIt will feature special activities\, local artisans and vendors\, food trucks\, a bouncy castle\, performances by the Royal Canadian Air Force Pipes & Drums\, face painting\, chalk art contest\, telescope viewing area\, and more. \nBlockhouse will be closed to traffic during this time. There will be free shuttle buses running from the Brockville Shopping Centre and the Brockville Memorial Centre to Blockhouse Island on a continuous loop from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm to alleviate traffic congestion to the site. \nThe organizing committee is also working on a live stream of the event to be screened at the Brockville Arts Centre. \nSchedule of Events: \n11:00 am: Blockhouse Island opens\, and vendors and on-site activities begin \n12:15 pm: Opening ceremonies in the Railway Tunnel Plaza featuring Matt Wren\, Mayor of Brockville\, Thomas Harder\, Executive Director of the Aquatarium\, and Colonel Jacula of The Royal Canadian Air Force \n12:30 pm to12:50 pm: The Royal Canadian Air Force Pipes and Drums performance \n1:00 pm: Photos with mascot “Astra” at The Royal Canadian Air Force display \n2:00 pm to 2:30 pm: The Royal Canadian Air Force Pipes and Drums \n2:10 pm: Eclipse begins over Brockville \n3:24 pm: Eclipse Totality over Brockville (to last 2 minutes and 47 seconds) \n4:00 pm to 4:30 pm: The Royal Canadian Air Force Pipes and Drums in the Railway Tunnel Plaza \n4:35 pm: Eclipse ends \n5:00 pm: Vendors and activities close

SUMMARY:14th Annual 1000 Islands Regatta
DESCRIPTION:The 14th annual event runs from Friday\, June 30th to Sunday\, July 2nd along the Brockville waterfront\, Armagh Sifton Price Park and Blockhouse Island. \nThere will be hydroplane racing on both Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm\, along with live music Friday\, Saturday and Sunday nights. There will also be a kids zone and vendors diring the event. \nRace classes will include:\n2.5L\nF2500\nH350\nGrand Prix \nGates open on Friday at 5 pm and 9 am on both Saturday and Sunday. \nSaturday/Sunday Pass is $30.00 (HST included) + Applicable Fees and gives you access to all events at the 1000 Islands Regatta on July 1 – July 2\, 2023\, only! \nWeekend Pass is $75.00 (HST included) + Applicable Fees and gives you access to ALL events at the 1000 Islands Regatta from June 30 – July 2\, 2023! \nTo purchase tickets please visit: https://www.1000-islandsregatta.com/tickets-3 \nTickets are also available for purchase at the gate.
