Brockville – Police reports from the Brockville Police Service from July 24th & 25th, 2023.
Wanted Person Arrested:
On July 24, 2023, at about 11:30 AM in the area of Pearl St. W., police located a 45-year-old, male, known to be wanted for theft. The theft took place on July 22, 2023, where the male subject stole $101.75 worth of alcohol, from the LCBO on King St. W.
The male was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.00 along with three counts of breach of probation. He was released on conditions with a future court date.
Shoplifter Charged After Obstructing the Police Investigation:
On July 25, 2023, at about 5:30 PM, police received a call to attend the SuperStore on Parkedale Ave., regarding a shoplifter. Police attended and learned that a female had attended and concealed approximately $300.00 worth of various merchandise in bags and made no attempt to pay.
It was discovered that the female was giving police a false name in hopes to avoid charges. Investigation revealed the actual identity of the 31-year-old, female. She was charged with theft under $5,000.00 and obstructing a peace officer. She was released with a future court date.
