Brockville – City police were called to Thousand Islands Secondary School on Tuesday around 2:00 pm following reports of gunshots.
Police responded immediately to the school and a lockdown was initiated as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of all staff and
students said police.
After a thorough investigation by police, they confirmed the incident was a false alarm saying no gunshots were fired, and there was no threat to public safety.
Police said that all students and staff were safe and the lockdown was lifted.
