Athens – The 41st annual Athens Cornfest is set for Saturday, August 19th in the village of Athens.
Enjoy the corniest down-home country festival in Ontario from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm along Main Street.
The festival will feature live music all day, Kids rides, activities and entertainment, vendors and crafts, and of course fresh corn on the cob.
There will be a Family Scarecrow Making Contest, Boat Show, Book Sale, rock climbing wall, power paddle boats for the kids, soccer ball dart board, carpet bowling, reptile rain forest, Dr. Kaboom, and a silent auction.
Live music throughout the day will include Sue Prosser & Dirty Alibi, Annie Francois, Josh Mensen, and Classic Country 64.
The popular children’s Cornfest parade takes to the street at 10:00 am where they decorate their bikes and wagons or dress in a Corny theme.
