Lansdowne – With fall around the corner, it’s time to think about how to engage our youth in the natural world surrounding them. Thankfully, registration for Fall Forest School with the Frontenac Arch Biosphere (FAB) is now open! There are two locations for FAB’s Forest and Nature School, one at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area in Brockville on Mondays and one at Camp Traill in Athens on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both locations host FAB’s wonderful education programs being offered for children ages 4-11.
Forest school allows participants to interact with the natural world in a fun and immersive way. Forest School provides an opportunity for participants to develop a closer relationship with nature in our very unique Biosphere. All FAB programming is based on child-led, nature-based learning. At Forest School, children are given the chance to explore the natural world in a way that brings them joy and excitement, which encourages learning new skills and expanding their self-awareness. The FAB staff provides support to the participants all day, creating a safe and nurturing environment for a child’s budding relationship with nature.
If you would like more info, visit our website: frontenacarchbiosphere.ca or you can contact Beth our Program Manager (beth@fabn.ca). There are still a few spots left at each location; camp starts September 18th so register online today!
