Brockville – Police reports from the Brockville Police Service from August 21st to 24th, 2023.

Week in Review:

Since Friday, August 19, 2023, and the time of this release, the Brockville Police Service has received 274 calls for service.

During those calls for service, there were the following:

• Mental Health Apprehensions – 2
• Subjects held for Bail – 4

Impaired Driving:

On August 21, 2023, at about 3:00 pm, police received a call of a motor vehicle collision at Parkedale Ave. and Windsor Dr. Investigation revealed that a 48-year-old, female driver, struck another vehicle from behind.

It was determined through field sobriety and Drug Recognition Expert testing that the driver in question was impaired by drugs. The drugs were believed to be a combination of prescription medication.

Her vehicle was impounded, her driver’s licence was suspended and charged with operation while impaired by drugs. She was released with a future court date.

Mischief

On August 21, 2023, at about 10:00 pm, police received a call regarding a 24-year-old, male, causing damage to a vehicle. The subject was observed in the area of King St. W. and Kincaid St., striking a parked vehicle with a hammer and attempting to break a window.

The male was located quickly by police and arrested. He appeared to have been under the influence of drugs.

Once arrested and searched the hammer was in his possession. He was charged with mischief under $5,000.00, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and later released with a future court date.
