Brockville – The 64th annual Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce held its Awards of Excellence Gala on Thursday night at the Brockville Memorial Community Hall.
Three people were recognized last night, for Business Person of the Year, Terry-Ann Hare, Young Professional of the Year, Kristin Bennett and Citizen of the Year, Tom Russell.

As well, 5 business awards were also given out, Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Tourism Award, Community Excellence Award and the Ben Tekamp Memorial Award.
The winner of the Business of the Year award was ROSS Video. The other finalists vying for the award were Amstead Design-Build and 1000 Islands Brewery.
The Small Business of the Year went to Beauty Inside. The other two finalists were Eastern Engineering Group and Sunset Grill.
The Tuesday Night Makers Market won the Tourism Award. The other finalist for the award was Maison Maitland.
The winner of the Community Excellence Award was awarded to Habitat for Humanity 1000 Islands. The other finalists were the Brockville & Area Community Foundation and Brockville Pride.
Arbru Solar Brewery won the Ben Tekamp Memorial Award last night. The other finalists were Super Simple Sheets and King Arthur Woodworks.
