Aeros Downed Richmond 4-2 in EOJHL Action Wednesday Night

Richmond – The Athens Aeros were in Richmond on Wednesday night to play the Royals where they downed them 4-2 in their last regular season game.

The Aeros were first to score on a goal by Jules Facchini on the power-play at 10:34 in the first period. The assists went to Thomas Mclean (AP) and Alex Seed.

In the second, Athens would pick up two more on goals by Reagan Donnelly (AP) and Wylie Dixon. The Royals would get their first goal by Tyler Hames. The Aeros lead 2-1 at the end of the period.

Hames would pick up his second goal of the night in the third period for Richmond but it would not be enough as Dixon would score his second of the game at 18:58 in the period on a short-handed goal to win the game for Athens.

The 2024 Barkley Cup Playoffs are set and the Aeros will take on the Smiths Falls Jr. Bears in the first of the best-of-five-game series wild car division starting this Saturday in Smiths Falls.
