Brockville – A shortened Brockville Braves bench lacked the stamina to seal this game in the third as the Braves lost 3-2 to the Carleton Place Canadians on Friday night at the Memorial Centre.
It came down to a bad angle shot that just trickled through to give the Canadians the win.
The line in September was we needed two buses for an away game, Friday night we were just over the minimum number of players to play a game. We did miss some wonderful scoring chances but coulda, woulda & shoulda don’t cut it. The harsh reality was we were outshot by more than 2 to 1.
On the flip side, we probably had our best power play of the season in the second period. Pure domination.
The Jr B playoffs are keeping the APs out of the lineup.
Zane Spaniol was a stud between the pipes, the D-Corps was rock steady and ANOUSHAN MUGUNTHAN continued his torrid pace, he has 13 points in 14 games with the Braves.
Brockville is in Kemptville on Wednesday night to play the 73s. Game time is 7:00 pm.
