Local Special Olympics Athlete Neal Condron Left Brockville for Calgary on Monday for Special Olympics Canada Winter Games

He is Representing Eastern Ontario in Nordic Skiing

Family, friends and supporters turned out on Monday morning to give local Special Olympics Ontario Brockville & Area athlete Neal Condron a big send-off as he competes at the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Calgary in Nordic Skiing this week. – Photo Courtesy of Catherine McMullen

Brockville – Local Special Olympics Ontario Brockville & Area athlete Neal Condron left for Calgary on Monday morning. Family, friends, supporters and members of the Brockville Police Service were on hand to see Neil off and wish him well.

Condron will be representing Eastern Ontario on Team Ontario in Nordic Skiing at the 2024 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games 2024 from February 27th to March 2nd, 2024.

“Neal has worked hard to get to this level of competition and we want to wish him well,” said Special Olympics Ontario Brockville and Area spokesperson Catherine McMullen

On Sunday MP Michael Barrett brought Neal a flag to take with him to Calgary and then on Monday Brockville Police Cst. Travis Duffy and Sgt. Dustin Gamble was out to see Neil off, supporting Special Olympics.

City, Councillor Louise Severson was also in attendance on Monday morning and Brockville Mayor Matt Wren posted a note on Facebook with best wishes and support to Neal.
