
Gananoque – The Gananoque Police Service’s “Freezing for a Reason” Polar Plunge 2024 in support of Special Olympics Ontario that was scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 29th has been postponed until Monday, March 4th due to concerns with the forecasted weather for tomorrow.
Come out and watch local police, fire and other emergency services and local businesses as they plunge into the icy waters of the St. Lawrence River.
It is being held at the Water Street boat dock in Gananoque and starts at 1:00 pm.
Whether you are an individual, organization or business, the Polar Plunge welcomes all do-gooders with a little courage and a warm heart willing to get cold and creative for a worthy cause.
All funds raised will support programming and events for 23,000 Special Olympics Ontario athletes across the province.
