Morton – A 21-year-old man from Kingston is deceased after a single motorcycle collision that occurred on Wednesday afternoon on County Road 11 (Jones Falls Road) just west of Morton in Rideau Lakes Township
Leeds County OPP officers responded to the collision where upon arrival the operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on-scene.
Police say they responded to the call of the collision around 4:40 pm Wednesday at the intersection of Ritz Road, Troy Lake Road and County Road 11 (Jones Falls Road).
OPP stated that lifesaving measures were immediately taken, however the operator of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries.
OPP Collision Reconstructionists and members of the Traffic Collision Investigation Team assisted Leeds County OPP officers with the investigation.
The intersection and immediate area were closed for several hours to allow for a complete and thorough investigation.
