Brockville – The Brockville Bunnies have improved their overall record to 11-12-1 with a pair of wins over the short-handed Kingston Jr Ponies winning 5-0 in game one and 17-4 in game two at Fulford Park.
In game 1, The Bunnies won 5-0 with Lucas Gravlin getting the win with a complete game no-hitter for back-to-back no-nos after throwing one in Oneonta the previous weekend. The Bunnies made the most of 4 hits, 4 walks and 4 stolen bases to manufacture runs.
Andon Gill had a pair of hits, with singles by Hunter Sanger and Jack LaBrash.
In game 2 the Bunnies won 17-4 over Kingston even though the Jr Ponies outhit the Brockville 6-5 with the Bunnies issued 24 walks which is hard to overcome for any team.
Zadok Roiger gets the win with 5 solid innings with relief from Mattie Barkley. Ben Buxtons improved play behind the plate and gets rewarded with a homerun over the left field fence. Wyatt Last, Sean Pert, Ryan Crotty and Roiger with one hit apiece while Andon Gill and Jackson Lemieux improved the on-base percentage with 5 and 4 walks respectively.
The games on Sunday in Kingston were rained out.
The Bunnies play in Cornwall this Saturday, June 29th vs the Ottawa Reds before coming back home on Sunday, June 30th at Fulford Park to play the 613 Kings from Ottawa.
