Brockville – On May 17, 2025, at about 8:15 pm, police received multiple 911 calls regarding a male and female fighting outside of a residence on Reynolds Drive. A female and her 39-year-old boyfriend were identified as the ones involved.
Investigation revealed that the male and female were arguing outside, and the female began walking down the street. This was followed by the male subject chasing her and shoving her to the ground. Bystanders in the area had to physically intervene out of fear for the female’s safety.
Both subjects were very emotional and not cooperative with the police. The male subject was arrested for the assault on the female, and at the same time, the female needed to be restrained and removed from the area as she was attempting to intervene in the arrest.
During the arrest, the male subject attempted to headbutt one of the officers and resisted the arrest until control was acquired. Any injuries received are considered minor and non-life-threatening.
The male subject was charged with assault, assault a peace officer and failure to comply with probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
