Brockville – A grade 6 St. John Bosco student is already making a difference in the lives of others. Chloe Thorpe, daughter of Tina Smith & Drew Thorpe watched a commercial on TV about Special Olympics and decided she wanted to do some fundraising for them.
Recruiting her friend Fiona Odir’d to help, they ordered 1000 bags of Kernel Popcorn and during March & April, they sold it every Tuesday & Thursday at school for $3.00 a bag.
Along with some community support Chloe made a $2,200.00 donation to Special Olympics on Tuesday during the school assembly. How amazing is that!
