Brockville – Brockville Police responded to a 911 call for a disturbance call on Thursday, January 30 around 9:15 pm, at a residence on Reynolds Drive.
When police arrived an investigation revealed that a man and his 49-year-old, girlfriend, were engaged in an argument. The officers observed an injury to the male’s forehead and that he had received medical attention.
It was discovered that earlier in the day, the couple had been arguing as well. Police say frustrations escalated to the point that the female subject, threw a pot at the male, striking his forehead. Police say the man was taken to Brockville General Hospital for assistance. Later in the evening, around the time of the call to police, the argument between the two continued.
The female was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and was released on conditions to protect the victim and with a future court date.
