Brockville – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League (EOJHL) is thrilled to announce the return of Junior B hockey to the city of Brockville for the 2025-26 season.
After a two-year hiatus, the franchise has officially been sold to new owner Scott Murray, who will relaunch the team under a bold new identity — the Brockville Bulldogs.
Brockville’s previous EOJHL team last took the ice during the 2022-23 season before taking a leave of absence. With a strong hockey tradition and a passionate local fanbase, the return of a Junior B team marks a new chapter for the city’s storied involvement in the league.
The newly formed Bulldogs are already gearing up for the future. The team will take part in the 2025 EOJHL Prospects Draft, joining the league’s 13 other franchises in selecting the next wave of young talent. The draft is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th.
“The return of the EOJHL to Brockville is a significant moment for our league and the community,” said EOJHL Commissioner Marc Franche. “This region has a proud and rich tradition in junior hockey, and we’re excited to see that legacy continue with the Brockville Bulldogs.
Further details regarding team operations, coaching staff, and player development initiatives will be announced in the coming months as the Bulldogs prepare for their inaugural season under new ownership.
