Close to 150 riders participated, riding either 5 km, 25 km, 50 km or 75 km routes, helping to raise a total of $261,555 so far in support of the Brockville General Hospital’s “Bottoms Up” Campaign supporting colorectal cancer care.

The event was created in memory of Dr. Donald Smylie, honouring his legacy and long-standing contributions to healthcare at Brockville General Hospital.

This year, every dollar raised will go directly toward the “Bottoms Up” campaign, supporting colorectal cancer care at the Brockville General.

As well, this year saw a generous anonymous donor match the funds raised on Sunday.

Since 2021, Ride the River has raised over $3 million, funding critical hospital improvements. This success is made possible by the dedicated riders, generous donors, and community champions who believe in better healthcare for all.
