
Brockville – On July 13, 2025, at about 1:00 pm, police received a call regarding a disturbance that took place at an apartment on King Street East. Information was that a person had been assaulted with bear mace.
Investigation revealed that two subjects were involved in an argument that escalated to the point that a 29-year-old male sprayed the victim in the face with bear mace. After the assault, the subject fled the area. The victim received minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
On July 16, 2025, at about 6:00 pm, the accused subject turned himself in to police for arrest.
He was held for a bail hearing after being charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief – interfere with the lawful enjoyment of property.
