
Spencerville – The 170th Spencerville Fair is being held this weekend, beginning this Thursday, September 11th and running until Sunday, September 14th, at the Spencerville Fairgrounds.
Everything gets underway on Thursday at 4:00 pm when the gates open. Admission on Thursday is a monetary donation to the South Grenville Food Bank.
The first day will feature an Antique Showcase, a Walkthrough of the Fairs past, Fair entry exhibits, the Opening Ceremonies at 7:00 pm, Northfire Circus, Poultry Show and a Drone Show at 9:00 pm.
The weekend at the fair will include 4H club shows, Truck Pulls, Mojo Magic, a Pet Show, The Royalty Show, Touch a Truck, Chainsaw Carver, Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, a Pancake Breakfast, Jersey Cattle Show, Heavy and Light Horse Show, Sheep Show, Western Gaming Show, Power Wheels Demolition Derby and more.
This year, the fair will feature the RCMP Musical Ride on Saturday, September 13th, starting at 1:00 pm. As well, the popular Fair Parade starts at 10:00 am on Saturday.
The Demolition Derby is on Sunday, starting at 1:00 pm.
Live entertainment this weekend will include Canada’s Bob Seger Tribute Show on Friday night, The Road Hammers on Saturday night, and Gail Gavan on Sunday afternoon.
Admission to the fair on Thursday is a monetary donation to the South Grenville Food Bank. Friday’s admission is Adults $15; Children 12 and Under Free, Saturday is Adults $15; Children 6-12 $5; Children 5 and under free, and Sunday is Adults $15; Children 6-12 $5; Children 5 and under free.
Admission to the live entertainment tent from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am on Friday is $15, Saturday is $40, and Sunday is included in the fair admission.
